    Admission for Diploma (GNM)

    The duration of Diploma in General Nursing and midwifery [GNM] program run under KSDNEB (Karnataka State Diploma in Nursing Eexamination Board). It is 3 years course which includes classroom learning and practical hours. Clinical Facilities are provided to students at parent hospital (Rajeev Nursing Home) under the guidance of faculty in various clinical and community settings. The board exams are held annually.

    • Courses offered: General Nursing& Midwifery
    • Graduation: DIPLOMA
    • Duration: 3 years

    1. 10+2 with English and must have obtained a minimum of 40% at the qualifying examination and English individually for any recognized board. Candidates are also eligible from State Open School recognized. However Science is preferable.
    2. 10+2 with English having 40% of marks in vocational ANM course from the school recognized by Indian Nursing council.
    3. 10+2 with English having 40% of marks in Vocational Stream-Health care Science from a recognized CBSE board/Centre.
    4. Students shall be medically fit.
    5. Minimum age for admission will be 17 years. (as on 31st December of that year) For ANM/ for LHV, there is no age bar.

    • SSLC / X Standard Marks Card.
    • 10+2/PUC marks card
    • Transfer Certificate
    • Copy of Income and Caste Certificate  (For Karnataka Students)
    • Character and Conduct Certificate from Head of Pervious Institution.
    • Five copies of  recent passport size photographs

    Admission for Basic B.Sc Nursing

    The duration of Basic B.Sc Nursing program under RGUHS is of four years, and the nursing course includes classroom learning and practical hours. Facilities are provided to students for clinical experiences under the guidance of faculty in various clinical and community settings. The university exams are held semester wise

    • Courses offered: Basic B.Sc (N)
    • Graduation: Graduate Level
    • Duration: 4 years (8 semesters)

    • The minimum age for admission shall be 17 years on 31st December of the year in which admission is sought.
    • Minimum Educational Qualification

    a) Candidate with Science who have passed the qualifying 12th Standard examination (10+2) and must have obtained a minimum of 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together and passed in English individually.

    b) Candidates are also eligible from State Open School recognized by State Government and National Institute of Open School(NIOS) recognized by Central Government having Science subjects and English only

    c) English is a compulsory subject in10+2 for being eligible for admission to B.Sc(Nursing).

    • Colour blind candidates are eligible provided that colour corrective contact lens and spectacles are worn by such candidates
    • Candidate shall be medically fit.
    • Married candidates are also eligible for admission.
    • Students shall be admitted once in a year.

    Admission for Post BasicB.Sc Nursing

    The duration of Post Basic BSc Nursing program under RGUHS is two years, and the nursing course includes classroom learning and practical hours. Facilities are provided to students for clinical experiences under the guidance of faculty in various clinical and community settings. The university exams are held annually.

    • Courses offered: PostBasicB.Sc (N)
    • Graduation: Under graduation
    • Duration: 2 years

    • The minimum age for admission shall be 22 years on 31st December of the year in which admission is sought.
    • Minimum education: General nursing and midwifery with aggregate of 45% marks from recognized board.
    • Student shall be medically fit.
    • Student shall be admitted once in a year

    Admission for MSc Nursing

    The duration of MSc Nursing program under RGUHS is two years, and the nursing course includes classroom learning and practical hours. Facilities are provided to students for clinical experiences under the guidance of faculty in various clinical and community settings. The university exams are held annually.

    • Graduation: Post graduation
    • Duration: 2 years
